West Virginia Library Association

Welcome!

READ poster

The West Virginia Library Association (WVLA) was established in 1914 to promote library service and librarianship in West Virginia. Since then, WVLA has offered leadership in the development and expansion of library services of all types. Through the work of its Divisions, Roundtables, and Committees, WVLA advocates for library issues, distributes public information, and develops continuing education opportunities. WVLA recognizes outstanding achievements in librarianship and literature through an awards program and encourages the development of new library professionals by granting scholarships. WVLA fosters communication among members through an online discussion list and a bi-monthly newsletter, WV Libraries. We invite you to join WVLA and become a member of our our growing, active, and informed association.
