Certificate of Merit 2021

Cris Spradling was awarded a Certificate of Merit for service to libraries and librarianship in West Virginia. He retired from the West Virginia Office of Technology in June 2021. He previously worked for more than 20 years at the West Virginia Library Commission. Upon the conception of the state Infomine project, Cris moved to the newly formed Network Services Department. In addition, he provided technical support for numerous WV Library Association conferences. As a member of the Network Services Team, he worked diligently to establish the public library network. His last project was to ensure the public libraries successfully moved from the state Verizon contract to the new Frontier one. This move saw library Broadband speeds increase from 4megabits per second to 100 Megabytes per second.
